Number 83, Washing!!!
My dark wash hung out nice and early!! When I was a child my mum and her neighbour had this thing (for fun)about who could hang their washing out the earliest! I think its rubbed off on me, I love getting mine out really early, yet no body else round here hangs theres out!! You can't beat the smell of outside, dried washing!!!!!

I used to love it when the kids were small; I felt so proud hanging out all their sweet little baby clothes.
It looked to me like a lake in the background until I clicked on the picture and saw it was a fence!
I dry all my laundry outside, weather permitting.
Here in the US there are many communities that forbid wash hanging out. Perhaps the city planners don't want to be reminded of washing day?! I rather like seeing such home-activities.
Hi neighbour
My washing's still in the basket, hear there's going to be a nice warm day round these parts on Tuesday. By that time the basket will be overflowing.
I went to see the village scarecrow show last year - it was great.
I love the smell of sheets dried on the line. My Mom used to do that all the time. thanks for the memory clip.
Now summer is here again and I can dry outside reliably I can stop buying fabric softener. I much prefer the way clothes smell after a line dry. I think the sun has a benefit. My mum used to say the sunlight was a way of sterilising clothes. The nappies sometimes used to be a little "streaky" when they went out but used to come in white! (With 4 kids and babies using nappies there was no time for boiling them!!!! I'm afraid I was one of the late bed wetters....went on until nearly 5! My next sister was the dream baby...dry night and day at 15 months. Mum had 5 of us in 6 years.....what a worker!)
