Sorry the pics so dark!!!

Number 27, St Andrews Church

St Andrews Church.
I don't actually live in a village. Well not the village that has the church, pub and school. I live down the road in a place with a different name, that has no school, pub or church.(lol!) Its not a hamlet! So I wonder what it is?
I won't name it because I like the fact that no one can actually pinpoint my exact location!

Number 26, Buddhist Meditation Centre

No I haven't travelled to some far away land...... this is actually in are 'Little Old English Village' it is a Buddhist Meditation Centre! Down a small cul-de-sac on the outskirts of the village. As each property comes up for sale in the cul-de-sac they buy it and use it as accommodation!
I wonder how they got planning permission??????

As our group grows it is taking longer nad longer to visit you all and as we slowly approach the gardening time of year, please don't feel obliged to visit and comment daily, I won't hold it against you!! Just pop in now and then!!!

Number 17, Farm Machinery

One I took earlier!! on a sunny day if you can remember them!!!!

Tuesday, 16 January 2007

Number 16, Bus Stop, Lacock

Have you any idea what this is???
The clue is inside on the back wall, other than this, you would not know it is the bus stop in Lacock. They do not allow any signs of modern life, no TV arials, satalite dishes or bus stop signs at the front of any of the houses!! Because of the amount of filning that is done here!!!

Number 15, Drying the Washing

Well if you can't get out and about............................
This is the first washing that we have hung out this year!!!! I love drying my washing outside, it always has such a wonderful aroma when you bring it in, I always stick my nose in it and have a good smell......glorious!!!!

During the summer this plant lives on top of my coal bumker where it gets very hot and then during the winter I tuck it up in the greenhouse!! Which is where I took this yesterday. I am sorry to say I don't know its name, I've checked all my books and can't find it! It was an end of season bargain, I didn't care it had no name I just liked it!!!

Wednesday, 10 January 2007

Number 10, Flooding

Friday, 5 January 2007

Number 5

Don't they look sad undressed!!
12th night is odd really, putting and packing away all the decorations until next year. The festive season is finally over. Then as you move the tree out, theres suddenly space, no clutter of cards and decorations and a feeling of a fresh start! Well thats what 12th night does for me!!

Thursday, 4 January 2007

Number 4, Red Lion, Lacock

I wonder do any of you recognise this............ imagine it in the dark with horses and carriages arriving!!! No! well let me tell you this is where the village dance was held in the BBC production of 'Pride & Prejudice' starring Colin Firth (drool!!). I have taken the picture from the same angle that they filmed!

This is the National Trust Village of Lacock, Wiltshire

Wednesday, 3 January 2007

Number 3

The problem is, how do you decide which photo to use???? I've taken a couple for here and considering I've never really taken photos except for my blog or family holidays, I'm quite pleased!
Hubby came with me and gave me a speed lesson on framing the picture. Now what is wrong with this one?
Well I like this tree and it will become a star of my photo blog because I intend to come back and visit reguarly so we can see the changing seasons!!
Apparently I need to move the camera slightly to the left to lose the telegraph pole!!!!!! Well what do you expect for a third picture??? Perfection!!!!!!!

Tuesday, 2 January 2007

Number 2

I like this, the mistyness is, I think, the angle of the camera to the suns rays. The bird is a Thrush, shame about the yellow beetle in the background, but hey this is only my second photo!
